Need a 3-credit course for this Spring? 

Looking for gain skills inthe field of mediation? 

PAX 452 is an intensive one-week course that can be taken for either undergraduate or graduate credit. 

The University of Maine Hutchinson Center is again offering the popular three-credit college course, PAX 452:  Advanced Mediation beginning Monday, April 16th and continuing all week, ending on Friday, April 20th. 

The class will run from 8:30 am until4:30 pm each day (Monday through Friday).

Sign up for a table for your business or organization to display information about your business or organization at the UMaine Hutchinson Centeron Wednesday, March 28^th from 2 to 5 pm. 

Tables are only $10 each, (to benefit scholarships) and the event itself is free and open to the public.

UMaine Hutchinson Center offers Workshop for Nonprofit Organizations -- Talent, Time and Meeting Management

In these difficult times, nonprofit directors, their staff and their boards need to be proactive in planning for today and the future. The University of Maine Hutchinson Center, 80 Belmont Ave., Belfast, is once again offering its Certificate Program in Nonprofit Organization Management.

On Monday April 23, join us to the second session in this year’s Nonprofit Management Certificate program – :  Talent, Time and Meeting Management in Nonprofit Organization. The workshop will begin at 8:30 a.m. and run until 4:00 p.m. and is being taught by Dr. Frank Burtnett. This workshop will present a philosophy for effective employee coaching within non-profit organizations. Coaching skills that has proven to be effective inimproving and extending employee work performance will be addressed.  A portion of the workshop will be devoted to effective time management skills designed to help participants and the individuals they supervise “arrest time bandits” and become more efficient in time utilization.

The Hutchinson Center will be hosting the 10th Annual Festival of Art on May 10 - 13th, 2012.

A celebration of Maine artists feature an exhibition, demonstrations and lectures by artists, and performing art programs.

Deadline for entries is march 31, 2012.
