Q. I have been out of school for a number of years and I'd like to start attending college again, or for the first time. What do I do?
A. Schedule a meeting with our Academic Advisor (call 338-8000 to schedule) and bring any transcripts and/or certificates. We'll talk informally about how you can begin. The sooner you call, the sooner you can start!
Q. I can't afford college but I want to get a college education. Can this really be possible on my limited budget?
A. There are many factors that help to determine what your education will cost and what is available to you to help you pay. Tuition, Fees, and Books together equal cost of education and in today's economy the price keeps rising. To help offset costs Financial Aid consisting of Loans (money you pay back) and Grants/Scholarships (money you don't need to pay back) is available. We recommend you schedule a meeting with This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Q. I cannot travel and the Hutchinson Center doesn't offer the degree I'm looking for. How to I pursue my education?
A. We have the ability to offer you a compliment of General Education Requirements that many public and private universities recognize. You could begin your education here, and complete up to two years worth of course work here before going to another school to complete the degree of your choosing. The time you spend at the Hutchinson Center could be enough for you to determine what school is best for you and when to transfer. Work with our Academic Advisor on a regular basis to make sure you take the appropriate courses.
Q. I have attended another college/university/school and would like to transfer and take courses at the Hutchinson Center. Is this possible?
A. The short answer is YES! You can always transfer from school to school. There are some restrictions though if you need to transfer classes/credits from one to another. You'll need a transcript from your previous school and some schools will not release it if you have an outstanding bill or have an academic action (probation, suspension..etc). If you can obtain your transcript credit may only transfer if the new school accepts them. For more information on Transfer Credits please view the Procedures for Transfer of Academic Credit. You may also want to setup a meeting with our Academic Advisor (call 338-8000 to schedule) to discuss your academic goals before beginning the transfer process.
