The FHC reserves the right to impose a cancellation fee of $50.00 if written notice to cancel a meeting space is not submitted at least five (5) working days prior to the event. For those events that are reserved for large space use (multiple rooms and multiple days), written cancellation notice must be submitted at least fifteen (15) working days prior to the event in order to avoid a cancellation charge of 50% of the fee.
Full room charges will be charged and enforced for all "No Shows" on reservations.
Effective 2011, the Hutchinson Center as well as the entire UMaine campus are smoke free. Smoking is not permitted on the campus grounds. (UMaine Smoking Policy)
Working Service dogs are permitted in the Hutchinson Center.
The Hutchinson Center is designated as a scent free building. Due to the severity of staff and student allergies, the Hutchinson Center has adopted a policy requesting that all patrons refrain from wearing perfume, cologne or other highly potent fragrances in order to promote a fragrance-free environment. This also includes, but not limited to cut flowers and flowering plants.
