Snowstorm Procedures
(SNOW LINE: 338-8099)
Hutchinson Center Inclement Weather Policy
In closing, our approach will be to stay open unless it is
absolutely necessary to close, we will notify students
though the following means:
(1) Post a notice to our website at www.hutchinsoncenter.umaine.edu
(2) Notify the University of Maine (Orono) so that they post
the closures on regional media services and
(3) The University of Maine Hutchinson Center snow line is 338-8099.
The University of Maine Orono snow line is 581-SNOW (581-7669).
This number will announce the closing of the Hutchinson Center
separately from the closing of the Orono campus.
(4) Have announcements on all regional radio stations including
WMCM - 103.3, WQSS - 102.5, WCME - 96.7, WRKD - 1450 AM, WQCB
- 106.5, WBZN - 107.3, WEZQ - 92.9, WWMJ - 95.7, WDEA - 1370
AM, WERU - 102.9, WMEH - 90.9, WMEW - 91.3, WMEA 90.1, WMED
89.7, WMEM 106.1, and WMEF 106.5.
(5) Bangor television stations, channels 2, 5, 7 and channel
6 (in Portland) are being asked to announce the Hutchinson Center
closings separately from Orono.
