Earn
a Four Year Degree in Social Work in Belfast at Hutchinson
Center
Are
you someone searching for a way to give back to the community? Would
you like a job and/or career in a rewarding field and interested
in earning a college degree? Do you enjoy helping other
people meet their potential, especially those who are in need? Do
you question systems that seem unfair and work to promote social
justice?
If you have answered “Yes” to
these questions, then the University of Maine Hutchinson Center
has a program for you! The Hutchinson Center now offers
a BSW program in conjunction with the University of Maine,
Orono School of Social Work. Social workers work with
people of all ages, including children and families and the
elderly. They work with communities and organizations. They
work in people’s homes, in institutions and in private
and public agencies. The job and career opportunities
are endless!
We
make it easy for you to take classes after work and in the
evening, one or two at a time.
The Spring semester
begins the week of January 16, 2007. Two courses you
can begin with are: SWK
320 Values, History and Practice in Social Work and Social
Welfare on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 to 7:30 pm with Carol
Good. The course will run until May 8.
The
second course in undergraduate social work is SWK 351 Human
Behavior in the Social Environment on Thursday nights from
5:30 to 8:00 pm with Nancy Kelly. This course will run
until May 10, 2007
