Better Living Through Higher Education-Summer course listing now available for The Hutchinson Center!

Midcoast. Maine spring semester is in full swing at The Hutchinson Center. However, it is not too early to begin to think about summer courses. The Hutchinson Center offers live and distance education courses all summer, designed to fit your busy schedule.

College courses can be fun, engaging and, new research suggests, good for your health! Researchers Francesco Ricci and Marios Zachariadis analyzed empirical data from 71 countries, and found that the level of education in a household coincided with enhanced life expectancy. In addition, they found that the attainment of college level education was an important factor in determining longevity.

The tentative summer course schedule for The Hutchinson Center is now available at the Center, and will soon be available online! Registration for summer courses begins in March, and it is good to get your registration in as early as possible as some classes tend to fill quickly. In the coming weeks watch for descriptions of some of the exciting courses to be offered at the Hutchinson Center this summer.
